1 cup shortening
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1-1/2 cups flour
2/3 cup cocoa
1/2 cup milk
3 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup nuts
Cream together shortening and sugar. One at a time add eggs, beating well after each. Alternate flour and cocoa with milk. Add vanilla and bake at 350F. for 25-30 minutes.
Cut while hot!

ReplyDeleteI have to get some more Hershey's Cocoa to make them. I made them with some generic kind last time and they weren't as good.
ReplyDeleteI must have done something wrong because mine turned out gross. You'll have to bring me some of yours so I can see the difference. Mine tasted more like a bland cake.
